Trip to Tanjore ….

Its been a while i took out my camera, no particular reason …but dont know why i dont feel like taking it out when i am in india ….
Somehow my roomie(good photographer ) convinced me to take my camera for this trip….
It took me a long time to realise something missing in mycamera ….my roomie and me have a same model camera ….and i compared it … And he pointed out that my eye piece is missing ….. God!!! my eyes were really missing it
We went to a friends marriage and our plan was to go to temple …. By the way the marriage was held at tanjore …. My other friends started asking my plans…. I hesitatingly told them that i am going to temple…… Worst part is that they started laughing at me….. I was kinda embarrased …. thy know that i hardly go to temples….Btw they dont know tat i have choosen potography as hobby (?) …. I somehow managed to get out of the party hall and finally boarded a share auto…….

Bang!!!!! And i almost had tears in my eyes ……and the reason being its a small auto and ppl are standing…. I mis judged my height ( first time in my life i felt being tall …. Finally i somehow landed at the temple….. By the time i saw the hot sun… I thought hell with photography…. But i couldnt dare to say my frnd….

Ok lets get to what i was abt to say…. i saw the gigantic gopurams and wanted to take amazing pics of those…. I took nearly 25 photos nothing came out good…..again my frnd told me the technique…. All was new for me…. I somehow wanted to take atleast few good snaps …. So kept following my frnd and keep taking all the angles he took… Main reason being i tried to make photography as my hobby and it was till i was in US … So didn want to get a negative thought…..thats least expected after spending 2k$ for camera and lens……

Here are some of them …. Dont get annoyed abt the stupid paras above…. I am trying to develop another hobby… Blogging !!!! I can hear sounds …. No bad words..plz……. Again i have done one good thing …. I manage all the comments posted LOL!!!!

 

Fall Trip

One of my favorite click… it was a casual snap on a rainy day …

 

Fall colors were always a dream to me… i managed to make a trip during this fall to NC. But it was late actually… i missed the fall colors by a week… most of the trees were bare… below are some of the snaps i managed to get it….i really blamed myself for not planing a week before.. anyways….

NC is a good place for mountain freaks… and water falls… One such place is Grandfather mountain… There are lots of mountain ranges nearby…. If you stay near NC its a good place to visit in spring and fall….

 

 

HDR experiment

I wanted to capture the colorful sky and the colorful trees. I fired few shots to realise that its impossible to take both of them togther… Then the HDR technique struck me… i hadnt had my tripod and i had to handheld it … there was a small pillar that helped me in holding my camera steady… i took this with 3 photos shot in normal, high exposure and low exposure…and used GIMP to merge all the 3 photos…. The above photo is the normal photo.. and the below one is the HDR photo(is this statement needed?)

Waterdroplets – finally it came out…

 

 After wasting so much memory and time… finally … i was able to get some snaps the way i wanted to shoot… It is taken with Nikon 300 + Nikon 50 mm lens (reverse mount) … i had difficult time in tuning with the manual focus…i wasted around 100 pictures to get some good shots…

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Dont keep wiping ur monitors…..I havent applied any noise reduction.. because of reverse mount ther are some noticable noise…

One more vetti day @ Atlanta…..

I was so bored when i came back from office… tired of TV.. net not working.. finally i decided to try something with my camera… its drizzling all day … no mood to go out …

so was looking at something to shoot inside my house…. i could hardly find worth… finally i end up with these photos…. i was happy that i could make some good photos.. share ur comments…..

 

 

I was trying to take the cigarette in a different angle…. but luckily my room mate agreed to spare his cigarette….

Everything was shot with a reverse lens mount using nikon 50mm lens and ofcourse with flash…
